Meet us
Profoundly awesome people. Very ordinary family life.
An AUsome Life is a New England family site built from one high-support autism experience and written to be useful far beyond one diagnosis.
What you will find here
New England days out, classic clothes, good food, useful products and life with autism - including the logistical details that often disappear from polished family content.
Our family includes an older autistic teen with very high support needs. We sometimes use profound autism for that experience. The phrase profoundly awesome describes the person, not a claim that disability is easy.
We also know autism and neurodivergence are much bigger than our household. This site is one family's field notes, not a universal rulebook.
Classic over trendy
We like things that look good next year, too.
Useful over clever
The product has to survive real family use after the launch-day excitement is gone.
Age-respectful always
High support needs do not erase adolescence, personal style or dignity.
Say what matters
Pool temperature, zipper difficulty, setup burden, hidden subscription, sensory feel, washability — the details that actually decide a purchase.
