Make our visit plan →Codman Community Farms: the ten-minute farm visit is allowed
Lincoln, Massachusetts
This is exactly why ‘simple good things’ needs to be a category. You can look at animals, walk a little, buy something from the self-serve store or have a picnic — and nobody needs a full-day plan.
The easiest version of the day
Four beats. Nothing heroic.
Start with a short walk and the animals you can see from public paths.
The visit can literally be ‘see the farm.’ No scheduled program required.
Farm store or picnic only if it still feels easy.
Ten good minutes counts. That is the whole philosophy.
Accessibility field notes
What actually changes the visit.
- The farm welcomes public visits year-round and asks visitors to remain on paths and outside barns/greenhouses.
- Codman does not publish a detailed accessibility guide on its visit page. Ground conditions can vary on a working farm; contact the farm if a particular surface or route is essential.
- Picnics are allowed with leave-no-trace cleanup.
- Animals should be viewed without touching; electric fencing is part of the working-farm environment.
Accessibility is specific to the person and to current conditions. Confirm anything that would determine whether the visit can work.
